Remodeling Your Kitchen or Bathroom
Kitchen and Bathroom Remodels give the best return on investment when you sell your home. Statistics on this can be found on many different websites, including the Love to Know Home Improvement page. What these pages can’t calculate is how much a home improvement project increases your enjoyment of your home while you still live there!
Of course, your enjoyment of the project will be in direct proportion to the quality of the remodel work performed. Many plumbing companies will help you with the easy part: installing new fixtures where your old fixtures used to be. Atlanta Plumbing Plus can do that too! But, where we really stand out from the crowd is in:
- Design consultation
- Evaluating your underlying plumbing system
- Working with other trades
- “Age-In-Place” or “ADA-compliant” renovations
So, when you are ready to remodel, call Atlanta Plumbing Plus at 770-447-0374. One of our licensed and experienced plumbers can help you to design, plan, and implement your kitchen, bath or laundry room remodel.
Design consultation
Our plumbers are experienced at remodeling. They can tell you whether a minor change in your floor plan can give you a bigger shower stall, or a double bowl vanity where you used to have a single one, or even a full bathroom in your basement where you envisioned only a half bath.
Evaluating your underlying plumbing system
You want a bigger shower stall with multiple shower heads, or a vegetable prep sink in your new kitchen island, but how do you know whether the existing water, drain and vent lines can support these changes? Often we see beautifully finished kitchens with clogged drain or luxurious-looking showers with no water pressure. This is because a less experience (or less scrupulous) plumber was willing to do what the homeowner asked without determining whether the plumbing system could support the changes. Atlanta Plumbing Plus will always evaluate the existing plumbing system and let you know what it will support. We will also give you an accurate estimate of the cost of upgrading the system so that you can make the appropriate cost-benefit analysis and determine whether the desired change is worth the cost. Ultimately, we want your remodel to be aesthetically pleasing, fully-functioning, and cost-effective.
Working with other trades
A lot of our customers are so pleased with the quality of our work that when it comes time for a major remodel, they want us to become the general contractor or project manager for the entire project. Sometimes, we can do that. Plumbing is just one facet of a remodel, however, and sometime it is just not cost-effective for the homeowner to have us take on this role. When this happens, we will tell the homeowner why they should not use us in this manner and we will provide the homeowner with our list of general contractors and individual trades people (tile, sheetrock, electrical, and paint specialists) who meet our own rigorous standards. These are companies we have worked with in the past and people we have tested on projects in our own homes. So, we can be sure that all of their work is of the highest quality and that they can run a cost-efficient and timely project. We know our plumbers can work well with their people and we know you will not be dealing with time and cost over-runs, so ultimately you will be happier with them and with us.
Age-In-Place” or “ADA-compliant” renovations
These can be the most challenging of renovations as they frequently come at a time when the homeowner is facing the emotional challenges of decreased mobility. Yet, for us, they can be the most rewarding of projects as we help a homeowner who was considering leaving a beloved home learn they can continue to live there in comfort. We know how to make a bathroom or kitchen meet the ADA and Plumbing Code standards for wheelchair access. We also know how to keep those rooms looking beautiful in the process. Take a look at the short video on the upper right-hand side of this page. You will see an example of an Age-in-Place bathroom designed to look like a cool and soothing retreat yet with everything in place to allow it to morph in to a fully ADA-compliant bathroom over time. That is the attention to detail Atlanta Plumbing Plus can provide.
So, when you are ready for your kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room remodel, call Atlanta Plumbing Plus at 770-447-0374. We can help you with every facet of the project and give you the look you want at the price you can afford!
